Gas Smell Inside

A smell of gas on the interior of the vehicle can mean an exhaust or gas leak. If the exhaust is leaking, say, from the exhaust manifold, the fumes may be picked up the the air entering the vehicle through the heater or air conditioner.

This can occur if the intake manifold is leaking as well. There is a distinction as a leak of the intake will smell like unburnt gas and a leak of the exhaust will smell like burnt gas.
