Brake Indicator Light Not Illuminated

If the brake indicator light(parking brake light or brake warning light) is not illuminated when the parking brake is engaged, a defective parking brake switch may be to blame.

The indicator light itself may be defective. If this is the case, the light will not come on in the event of a brake system failure.
