Defective fuel gauge

The fuel gauge displays the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. If the gauge is defective, it will display the in correct level of fuel.

Fuel Gauge Doesn't Move

If, after adding gas or going for a long drive, the fuel gauge has remained in the same place, the gauge may be defective. After filling up the fuel tank, the gauge level should rise almost immediately.
