Window attaching hardware is damaged or worn

The windows are attached to the window regulator with one or more clips or other securing devices. If these are damaged or worn, the window can sound or feel loose within the door. While the window is up, the window frame may keep the window secure so that the problem doesn't persist. However, when the window is down, it is not supported by the frame. Damaged or worn attaching hardware will not secure the window, and it may rattle or move within the door.
