Coolant spilled out of radiator

An overheated engine will spew coolant from the radiator or overflow cap. The coolant expands as the engine heats up. If the pressure cap is loose or damaged, coolant can leak out of it. The leak may not be severe. The coolant level may rise as the coolant expands. When the engine cools, a low coolant indicator light may come on indicating a drop in the coolant level.
