Catalytic Converter
The catalytic converter is a pollution control device that reduces toxic emissions from an internal combustion engine. It contains a catalyst(platinum and palladium) that heats the exhaust gases to a point where the hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide form carbon dioxide and water vapor.
