Stripped gear in odometer

A stripped gear in the odometer can prevent the odometer from working properly. The gear may catch in some positions, but not others. It may not catch at all, resulting in an odometer that does not move.

Analog Odometer Does Not Move

Odometers should move every time the vehicle does. If the odometer is not moving, a stripped gear may prevent it from rolling over the numbers.
