Rocker Arm

A rocker arm is a curved lever that pivots in the center. It is attached to a push rod at one end, and a valve at the other. As the camshaft rotates, the push rod rises and pivots the rocker arm, opening the valve. As the push rod descends, the rocker arm pivots back, and the valve is closed.
