Headlight bulbs are burnt out

Headlight bulbs usually contain one filament for normal beams and one for high beams, or brights. If one of these filaments is burnt out, the selected beam wont't work.

Symptoms

Headlights Don't Light Up

A simple cause of the headlights not lighting up may be a burnt out bulb. If the high beams work, but normal ones don't, the normal beam filament is probably burnt out. If neither beams work, either both filaments are burnt out, or some other problem exists.

High Beams Don't Light Up

The high beams use a different filament than normal beams. If the high beam filament is burnt out, the normal beams will work, but the high beams will not.
