Defective wiper tubes

The wiper tubes, or hoses, carry the washer fluid from the reservoir to the nozzle. If the tubes are damaged or defective, the stream of fluid may be diminished or cut off entirely.

Symptoms

Wipers Don't Dispense Fluid

If the wipers are not dispensing fluid, there may be a defect in the tubes. A detached or leaking tube will only deliver some of the fluid, if any. This will reduce the stream and power of the fluid dispenser or may eliminate it entirely.

Washer Fluid Leaks

A defect in the tubes may leak fluid as the wipers run. This may show up underneath the vehicle, though it will likely be in small amounts.
