Defective suspension parts

A defect in one of the suspension parts can produce a bumpy ride as the vehicle may not absorb the contours of the road. It will be more noticeable on bumpier roads, since the bumps on the road will be amplified.

Symptoms

Tires Sound Wobbly

A defective suspension part can make a tire sound wobbly. The defective part, such as a shock absorber, will transfer the movement of the vehicle to the tire more roughly. The impact can press the vehicle weight in such a way that the tire compresses a little bit and bounces back.

If a suspension part is bent, the wheel may also have an incorrect alignment to the vehicle. The tire will make a distorted contact with the road, relative to the other wheels. This can produce a wobbly sound.

Vehicle Pulls to One Side

If a defective suspension part creates a distortion in the alignment, the vehicle's weight will be shifted, and the vehicle will pull to one side.
