Worn out wheel bearings

Worn wheel bearings are not be able to cushion the wheel as it moves about the spindle. As the wheel spins, the contact made can produce a noise such as a grind or rub.

Wheels Make Noise While Driving

If the wheels are making grinding or rubbing noise, the bearings may be worn out, lodged, or unlubricated. As the wheel spins, the bearings no longer cushion the wheel and spindle. As the two make contact, a grinding or rubbing noise is produced.
