Wiper motor is freezing or jamming

A wiper motor that is freezing or jamming will stall the wipers. The wipers may start to come up, then stop and return to the starting position. The motor will partially move the wipers. Once it is jammed, the wipers may remain stuck. If the wipers do not return to the starting position when the they are turned off, the wiper park mechanism may be defective.
