Radial Cord

A radial cord is a series of plies of cord that acts as structural component of radial tires. The cords are composed of polyester, steel, or other materials and gives the tire some structural integrity. The cords are laid at a 90 degree angle to the direction of travel to prevent wear as the tire moves and flexes while driving.
