Intermittent headlight wiring connection issue

A connection of the headlight wires that periodically occurs can cause a cycle of dim and normal lights to occur. For example, if the wiring is loose and shifts during driving, the adjustment may break a good connection and only allow part of the electrical current to flow through the bulb.

Headlights are Dim Once in a While

If the headlights are dim once in a while, the headlight wiring may be in such a state that some positions provide a good connection while others provide a poor connection. During the good connection times, the headlights will function normally. During the poor connection times, the electrical current will be hindered and the lights will be dimmer or not turn on at all.
