Interior light relay has failed

The interior lights use a relay to complete the electrical circuit. If this relay fails, the circuit will not be completed when the doors are open or the interior lights are switched on.

Interior Lights Never Come On

The interior lights on modern cars are designed to turn on when the vehicle door is opened. There is also a switch that allows these lights to be turned on for passengers' convenience. If the lights are not working in both of these situations, the problem lies in the interior light circuit.

A failed relay will prevent the interior light circuit from being completed. The electrical current will not be able to flow to the bulbs.
