Impact break in tire

The tires have to put up with a tremendous amount of force when driving. It is possible to hit a bump in the road that will damage the tire. This damage will weaken the structural integrity of the tire, and can cause tire leaks, the vehicle pulling to one side, or the wheels sounding wobbly. See busted radial cord for a type of impact break.

Symptoms

Tires Sound Wobbly

An impact break in a tire can weaken it to a point where the rotations produce a wobbling sound.

Tire Leaks Air

An impact break can produce tiny fractures that will allow air to leak out.

Vehicle Pulls to One Side

A loss of structural integrity of the tire can cause the wheel to shift downward and create a slant with the axle. This will cause the vehicle to pull to the side during driving.
