Fuel Filter

A fuel filter is a part of the fuel system that removes impurities from the fuel before it is ignited. In automobiles with a fuel injection system, the fuel filter is located near the fuel tank. In automobiles with carburetors, the fuel filter is locate inside of or near the carburetor. A fuel filter located near the carburetor is called an in-line fuel filter, since it is attached to the fuel lines. A fuel filter located inside of the carburetor is known as an integral fuel filter.
