Float is stuck

If the float is stuck, the fuel gauge will not rise or fall. Depending on the float's position, it may become dislodged on the next fill up.

The fuel level is measured by the float. If it is stuck, the fuel gauge will maintain the same reading during driving and after adding fuel.
