Door jamb switch is broken

There is a switch on the door jamb that illuminates the interior lights as well as activates things such as chimes. If this switch is broken, the vehicle will not recognize when a door is open. The switch may also be broken in such a way that the registers open when it is closed.

Interior Lights Remain On

If the interior lights will not turn off when the doors are closed, the jamb switch may be broken. This will prevent the switch from opening the circuit and stopping the electrical current to the interior lights.
