Door handle is unattached

The door handle is attached to either a rod or wire. When the handle is pulled, the rod or wire releases the door latch. If the rod or wire becomes detached from the handle, the door will be unable to open.

Door Will Not Open

If the door will not open, the handle may be unattached. The handle may feel loose or easier to pull when the wire or rod is no longer attached and providing resistance.
