Defective wheel bearings

The wheel bearings cushion the spindle. If the bearings become warn or otherwise defective, a rubbing or grinding noise may come from the wheels.

Noise From Wheels

Many things can cause a noise from the wheels. If the noise is a wobbly, rubbing, or grinding sound, defective wheel bearings could be the cause.

Causes

Grease Leak

The bearings are covered in a quality, high temperature grease. If this grease leaks out, the bearings will be unlubricated and subject to wear and heat from the friciton.
