Defective starter relay

A defective starter relay will not be able to pass electric current to the starter motor, thus preventing the engine from starting.

Engine Won't Start

A defective starter relay will prevent the engine from starting. If, when the key is turned, the engine does not make a sound, the relay may be to blame.
