Cooling System Flush

A cooling system flush is a maintenance procedure in which the coolant is removed and water is circulated through the cooling system. The water cleanses the system of rust and dirt. Backflushing refers to circulating the water in the opposite direction(from the engine to the radiator) of the normal flow of coolant. This provides a more efficient cleaning of the system.
