Burning coolant

If coolant leaks into the cylinders, it will be ignited with the fuel and produce white smoke. Burning coolant signifies a coolant leak, or breach of the seal of the cylinders. The coolant level will dwindle and can lead to the engine overheating.

Head Gasket Leak

A leak in the head gasket can create an avenue for coolant to enter the combustion chambers.
