Brake pad shift or movement

If a brake pad shifts out of place, it can cause noise by rubbing on other parts.

Causes

Failed Caliper

If the brake caliper is damaged, the pad will not grip the disc properly.

The pad may also not be held properly by the caliper.

Loose Pad

The brake pad itself may become loose, causing it move during braking. This is usually caused by worn, damaged or missing hardware parts or seized caliper slides.
