Brake fluid leaking

Leaking brake fluid can be very dangerous, as it will hinder your vehicle's ability to stop. A leak can come from many sources such as the master cylinder or the brake lines.

Causes

Damaged, Worn, or Loose Parts

Damage to brake parts can occur through impact from road debris. A rock can bounce up and puncture a brake line or damage the master cylinder. One damaged part in the brake system can create a leak.

Loose Bleed Valve

The brake system has valves that allow bleeding. If this valve is open or loose, brake fluid can escape the brake system.
